Job Description : He takes care of the rotating machines, static equipment and piping ensuring that they are working properly. The job profile includes installation of static equipment, piping, rotating machines and related parts as well as their maintenance and repair. Duties : Installation, maintenance and repair of static equipment, piping and rotating machines. Testing rotating machines and troubleshooting in case of problems. Assembling rotating machines. Suggest ways to improve the performances of rotating machines. Perform workshop functions like welding, brazing and working with lathe machines. Keeping Mechanical Supervisor informed of progress. Experiences / Skills: Secondary technical education with 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry and minimum 2 years as Mechanical Technician in Gas Turbine Power Plant or similar project. Good English knowledge. Knowledge about the basic working concepts of rotating machines. Knowledge about installation and repair of rotating machines and correct usage of the tools. Knowledge about the safety precautions while working with rotating machines. Knowledge about the permissible standards to be maintained for rotating machines. Ability to analyze the cause of trouble and rectify the problem. Ability to work in team. Ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
